A bit from a FanFiction I'm trying to write...
Hey there!
This is the beginning of a FanFic I'm trying to write right now. It's ST:TOS and features my RPG Character from a RPG playing around 2370.

This one wants some honest opinions about this!

„Oh… Lord! My head hurts like a mother!“ groaned the young woman when she woke and sat up.
Spock raised an eyebrow. “Please identify yourself.”
Bones grinned when the young woman raised an eyebrow herself. “I’d say that you’d to first!”
“That is illogical,” frowned Spock and Bones asked himself if he’d – in a battle of wills – would go as low as “Because I asked first!” but he doubted it.
“It is perfectly logical. You have me at a disadvantage. You are three, I am alone, and we are here in your… facilities. If this should be fair I should get some information first.”
“She got a point, Spock!” Bones smiled.
“Doctor, I would advise you to let me be the judge…”
“Gentlemen!” Kirk interrupted them. “Let us give this charming young Lady the information she wants. I am James Kirk, Captain of the Federation vessel USS Enterprise. This is my first officer and head of science, Commander Spock. And this is my CMO, Dr. Leonard McCoy. You are aboard the Enterprise right now.”
The young woman stared. Mostly she stared at Spock.
“I am… delighted,” she said and it sounded so unlike the colourful curse she had uttered upon waking. She cast Kirk only a short glance and her eyes came to rest on McCoy.
This seemingly confused Kirk and he spoke once again. “May I ask which fleet you serve in? Your uniform looks different from everything I’ve ever seen.”
Chapel entered the room handing McCoy a Datapadd. “The results of the tests.”
McCoy smiled. “Thanks, Chris. Be so nice as to put it down on my desk? I’ll input the data into the computer myself, thanks.”
The nurse nodded. “Sure.”
Now the rumbling of their guest’s stomach made them look up.
“Will you grant me the pleasure of dinning with me and Spock? Bones, you too."
McCoy and their guest nodded.
“Then see you at the officers’ mess 2000,” Kirk said and vanished, Spock on his heals.
Bones turned towards his patient again, who now had stood up. Bones had to look up to her and raised an eyebrow. “We have about three hours until dinner. Want to grab a small snack right now?”
She nodded and he led her towards the mess.
He ordered a chicken sandwich for her and she smiled but frowned a bit at the same time. Eyeing the sandwich carefully she seemed to sniff slightly.
“Chicken sandwich. A terran bird. Well, the meat actually is synthetic.”
“I know. It is only that the last time I encountered one of these it found its not so glorious end in the toilet facilities of the brig I was at that particular moment.”
Bones eyed her carefully. “You okay?”
She smiled slightly. “Do not worry. I was there for disobeying my captain to save the universe. It was more a matter of principle than anything else.”
Bones grinned. “You saved the universe?”
“On that particular occasion I think I indeed did so.”
“Well, if you don’t want the sandwich…”
“I’ll try. The last time I had not eaten anything for a couple of days and my body wasn’t used to animal protein.”
Bones looked at her and frowned. “You are not by any chance…?”
“If you would specify your question I perhaps could give you an accurate answer.”
“May I?” asked Bones and brushed the hair over one of her ears away. An almost smug grin appeared on his face. “Yeah, I had thought so. Excuse me. If I’d known you’re Vulcan I would have got you some leaves and grass for dinner.”
She picked up the sandwich and took a large bite. “I am not one of those typical Vulcans. Not at all. I’m not even a full Vulcan.”
“Wouldn’t have dared to say anything different,” answered Bones when he was on the receiving end of a charming and mischievous smile.
However, after eating half of the sandwich she put the rest down and pushed the tray a bit away from her. “I think that is enough for now.”
Bones picked up the rest of the sandwich. “I guess I didn’t catch your name earlier?”
“That might be because I did not mention it.”
“Will you now?”
She smiled. “Taya.”
“And nothing more?” he asked. “The button on your collar, a rank?”
She sighed. “I am… Taya Annabeth Spender, Chief Petty Officer.”
McCoy raised an eyebrow. “So you are part of a fleet, some kind of armed forces.”
She cocked her head to one side. “I am. But I fear I cannot tell you anything beyond that.”
Bones raised an eyebrow. This woman was like a shell. She had a pretty outside – her actual looks and her behaviour – which also served to mislead everyone from the inside. No matter how hard he tried to get the information, her shell was hard and smooth.
Perhaps during dinner she would reveal something or her concentration would slip enough to get her to reveal something.
“I think we should find something different for you to wear for dinner.”
She nodded. “Thank you a lot, Doctor.”
Was he mistaken or was she watching him carefully?

FAQ:
+ She did kinda save the universe
+ She's not gonna get involved with McCoy, although she's VERY fond of CMO's
+ No fling with Spock, although they're both half-breeds
+ Absolutely nothing going on with Kirk
+ Major focus on getting Taya back to her own time
+ She's a catalyst for charakters' problems and development
