University of Cambridge...
... ESOL Examinations...
... Certificate for Advanced English.

I'll most probably fail.
Had my Reading, Writing, Use of English and Listening Comprehension exams yesterday.
It was the pure evil. T__T
Reading
was fine. Maybe 40 of 42 points.
But I don't think I'll get a single point on
writing
. We had to write a proposal, a letter and an article (there were four possibilities for the last but I chose the article). Have I written a proposal or article in English before? NO! Maybe the contents are alright but I'll fail because of the formal aspects.
Use of English
... well... I've done quite bad at that one. Maybe 15 to 30 of 80 points there.
Listening Comprehension
was easy - for me. The first text was spoken by someone with a sort of London accent. Even I needed two to three sentences to get into it again. But we heard that text twice and filling in the gaps wasn't too hard. The second text was only heard once. It was spoken by a Scotsman. At first I was wondering if it was fake but it became clear that he was probably from Glasgow and tried to speak clearly. In the end he still swallowed some words. It was only note taking but it was quite hard nonetheless - even for someone who's seen a lot of David Tennant films. Third part was quite easy. No accent there. The fourth part was spoken by 5 different people and the first one swallowed some words in the beginning, the third was Scottish again, although more understandable this time.

All in all I won't get a A (=85% of points). Thanks to Reading and Listening Comprehension (thank you, DT) I might get still pass (=C =60% of points).
There's still the oral part next Saturday...

P.S. I hate my Winamp 10 Doctors Skin! I only get the first, the fourth, the fifth, the second, the sixth or seventh, some strange blond guy with a suit made out of various pin-stripped fabrics and the ninth Doctor! I want tenth Doctor. Really badly. meh

P.P.S. I'll fail. So many wrong answers in Use of English. I'll fail and 125 bucks will be lost. T_T
