„Everything I know about the Tube I learned from 'Underground Earnie'.“
I'm in London.

Urgh. Get up at quarter to five, leave for the airport at half past five, check in – yay they're already boarding! But then they had to de-ice the plane so we stood and left half an our late.
We arrived at London Stansted, I got money from an ATM, got myself a ticket for the Stansted Express (and return), left for Liverpool Street and got on the Central Line to Holborn. From Holborn it's only ten minutes to the Hotel by foot. And, woah!
The Novello Theatre is less than two minutes by foot from the Hotel. *squee*
I checked in and... well. The room really isn't big, but who cares? There's no heating in the bathroom, not so ideal. But there is a bathroom! But the worst was the door. It has a key card and somehow it's hard to open. I'll have to practice or something...
I lay down for two hours or so. I got up again and started to check out the immediate area. I was lucky, there's an Apple store where I could get the world adapter kit so I have energy for my little Darth Apfel. I got two t-shirts as well and went into Boots for some beauty products.
Came back to the hotel and showered for half an hour (and flooded the bathroom). Got ready and walked to Picadilly Circus to meet up with potionkeeper and her friend – via Trafalgar Square. This hotel sure isn't cheap, but it's quite central...
We met up and had some nice pub food, yay!
Back at the hotel I crashed ded.

We wanted to meet up at the Tower at 9:30. Urgh, get up at eight to get some breakfast? Blergh, no. Get up at half past eight and walk straight to the Tower. Yeah, walk. I got the tip to just cross the Thames and walk along, cross at the Millenium Bridge again and walk to the Tower.
Beautiful! I passed the National Theatre, the Tate Modern, had a wonderful view over the Thames and proved that I will never ever grow up! (Wait for my pictures of my stuffed dolphin and sheep on holiday...)
The Tower was nice and we took the tour with the yeoman. *grins* Really cool jokes!
After the Tower we went to China Town to have dim sum at the New World Restaurant. It was nice, but if you want to have dim sum, be careful! They're actually quite filling! I had two little prawn dumplings, some chicken/duck steamed rice stuff, a chicken-peanut dumpling, some sweet duck dumpling, three pork dumplings and I was stuffed! But we got tea for free, that was really nice. After the pub this was the second place I ate for really cheap (half of what I expected to spend on food).
After lunch potionkeeper's friend decided to go back to their hotel to have a little lie down and potionkeeper and I raided London. OMGWTFYAY!
Abercrombie and Fitch. *_______*
I am a lot poorer now but I own a thick and a thin hoodie and three tank tops. After that we went to the big Apple store where they have games! Games! So I also own Black&White Platinum Edition now. We also checked out the iPod touches and I found out that the lmctw.net layout is not iPod touch compatible. I think I know where the mistake might lie, so I should be able to fix it with some easy html magic.
Now I'm back at the hotel, tired, my feet and knees hurt (from all the walking, but it's worth it! It's so worth it!) and I'll have my White Cafe Mocha and sandwich I got myself for dinner, maybe shower and then crash. Maybe I'll game a little as well. Tomorrow we'll see when we meet up for Hamlet. Tennant performed yesterday and was announced to perform today. Let's see how lucky we are. I think I'll go see the science museum in the morning...
Also, I slowly get the hang of the door.
where my soul rests london, dude!

Yay!
